March Madness captures national attention well beyond the sports world. For fans and casual observers alike, the season highlights the power of teams uniting under pressure, adapting in real time, and rising to meet the moment. It is a timely reminder of the value of teamwork, discipline, and shared purpose.
That spirit invites reflection on enduring leadership. Few examples illustrate this more clearly than Pat Summitt, the legendary University of Tennessee women’s basketball coach. Her impact was defined by her ability to develop people, build trust, and maintain high standards. Her legacy remains a powerful example of how accountability and belief in others work hand in hand.
Healthcare leaders must navigate uncertainty while supporting teams through evolving demands—guiding people well while elevating performance to deliver quality patient care. This is especially vital during current workforce challenges, where fostering both excellence and compassion is a critical leadership competency. Advancing Healthcare Leadership Competency Model 4.0 Research
|
|
NCHL continues to lead the field in healthcare leadership science with our competency model research, advancing the evidence base and translating it into practical tools leaders can use. Partnering with Korn Ferry, we anticipate delivering 4.0 in Fall 2026.
