Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! We hope you had a safe and restful summer.

Every day, our students learn through exploration, engage the community, and prepare for tomorrow. Our BCS Week in Review brings you these stories of achievement and success in Buncombe County Schools.

POST OF THE WEEK: ๐ŸŽ’โœจ FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Welcome back, Buncombe County Schools families!

The first days of school are always filled with excitement- new faces, new opportunities, and the joy of being together again as a community. Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we’re so glad you’re part of the BCS family.

This year, our theme is #LeadTheClimb- a reminder that when we support one another, set our sights high, and take each step together, we can reach incredible heights.

We put together a photo album on Google Drive that shows many of our schools as they celebrated the first day back from summer break. We'll be adding more schools and photos through the week.

Here’s to a safe, joyful, and successful school year ahead!
