SCHOOL POST OF THE WEEK: Hominy Valley Elementary School

What an AMAZING Literacy Day at HVE! 📚✈️

Students and staff celebrated all things reading and literacy with a day full of fun activities including the Scholastic Book Fair, dressing up as vocabulary words, Bingo in the cafeteria, reading with Ms. Haney and Leroy, and wonderful performances from our 4th graders!

We also loved welcoming Enka High School students who spent time reading to classes and delivering bagged lunches so students could enjoy lunch outside together. The excitement continued with our Word Parade and ended with one of the sweetest moments of the day — reading with parents and loved ones. ❤️

It was such a special day celebrating our students’ hard work and growth this year. Thank you to everyone who helped make Literacy Day such a memorable experience!  Go Jets!   ✈️💙📚
