Last week was one of the worst outages M365 has had in many years. The lack of official breakdown of the flow of events is concerning but I did find a nicely done summary for you. Meanwhile, if you are expecting a refund--don't. Above is a reminder of what the process is.
4 things to know: There has been a meaningful update to your Teams license. Places is now included. And if your a premium Team user, there are more updates too. Learning to re-prompt to get around blocks is an important AI skill to know. And you MUST add securing AI to routine security.

The "Require approved client app" control in Microsoft Entra Conditional Access will retire in June 2026. Organizations should update policies to use the "Require application protection policy" control for equivalent and enhanced protection. After retirement, the old control will no longer be enforceable.

MFA Fatigue is real and at the same time an informed decision to complete an MFA authentication request is important. But the end user only knows so much about the difference between a legit prompt and an attacker-led MFA prompt after stealing their credentials (for an example).
