Our industry STILL has a problem and this week I read that it's following us into the AI era. Women start into this field as a career and then leave it. The reasons haven't changed. Disrespect, hard to find a job, poor work culture. This shouldn't be so difficult to solve. It's not as simple as, "if we found qualified women we'd hire them". The fact that you're not finding them is the problem. The problem is us, not them. This is my soapbox and I'm happy standing on it. I'm a woman. I recognize that I'm an unusual one because none of the things that typically drive women out ever bothered me. That made it easy to dismiss, even in my own company. But I fixed it and you can to.

The earlier you know, the easier it is to keep up.
