New: Make an Appointment with an Instructional Designer
Need a little extra help with your courses or have specific questions about moving to Ultra? We've got Instructional Designers for that! We now have a request form that allows you to book a 30-minute session with one of our Instructional Designers. 
 
Before booking a 30-minute appointment with an instructional designer, we strongly encourage you to complete Blackboard Ultra training (available in both live and self-paced formats). These sessions will give you the foundation you need so our meeting time can focus on your specific questions and course needs.

Important: Transition to the Microsoft Education LTI in Blackboard
The current Microsoft Teams LTI in Blackboard is being replaced with the Microsoft Education LTI, effective September 15th. If you would like to continue using Microsoft's integrated tools in your Blackboard courses after that date, you will need to locate the Details and Actions pane on the right side of your course page, click Enable Microsoft Education, and follow steps for setup. 
 
You can find instructions on setting up and using each of the individual tools in the new Microsoft Education LTI below:

Foundations of Online Teaching: Part One
From September 15 to October 19
This five-week, online course is designed to promote instructor development and enhance instructor engagement whether you are teaching NET, Hybrid, or VCM courses. Participants explore techniques and best practices for online course development and instruction.
 
 
Foundations of Online Teaching: Part Two 
From October 20 to November 23
Facilitated by Gabi Frahm and Christine Monnier
 
This five-week, hybrid course is designed to build on the skills that were developed in Foundations of Online Teaching Part 1 but can also be taken if you would like to enhance a course you have already developed.
Using the OSCQR Rubric, participants will develop their entire course structure and complete at least two units of work. This course will tackle more advanced topics regarding content development and assessment building.

Register Now for New Reading Seminar: The Opposite of Cheating
There is a lot of grumbling about students using AI to cheat on assignments. This book addresses this topic head-on. While reading it, we will discuss what the research shows on cheating motivating factors, as well as the different instructional strategies that are shown to reduced cheating. There is no 100% effective strategy to prevent cheating, but there is a lot we can do to reduce it.

Copies of the book, The Opposite of Cheating: Teaching for Integrity in the Age of AI, by Tricia Bertram Gallant and David A. Rettinger, will be made available to registered participants. Meets over four (4) VCM sessions. Zoom information will come with your registration confirmation email from Cornerstone. PDH eligible.
