POST OF THE WEEK: 🏈📚 W.D. Williams Third Graders Score Big at Panthers 3rd & Goal Field Day
W.D. Williams Elementary third graders took their learning from the classroom to the football field during an unforgettable day at Bank of America Stadium.
Students participated in the Carolina Panthers’ 3rd & Goal Field Day, a celebration recognizing reading growth among third graders across North and South Carolina. More than 400 students came together for a day filled with learning, movement and plenty of Panther fun.

Spanish 1 students got up and moving while practicing real-world conversations! In an inner/outer circle, they rotated through different partners, practicing greetings, introductions, and asking and answering questions in Spanish. Lots of speaking, listening, and building confidence with every round!

🎨 During Arts in Education Week, Candler Elementary School students celebrated creativity, collaboration, and the courage to try something new through a schoolwide project inspired by “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds.

🎼 The sound of strings fills the classrooms at Owen Middle School and Owen High School, where students are learning much more than how to play an instrument. Under the direction of strings teacher Matthew Kinne, students are building confidence, friendships, and a deeper appreciation for music.
