POST OF THE WEEK: 🍎💡 Building Tomorrow’s Teachers: Regional Students Attend Teacher Cadet Conference
Sixty-five high school students with aspirations of becoming educators gathered March 2 at Mars Hill University for the annual Teacher Cadet Conference, a daylong event funded by the Buncombe County Schools Foundation.
Students representing Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, and Swain county schools spent the day exploring the teaching profession through interactive sessions led by current and former Teachers of the Year and school administrators. The conference was designed to provide real-world insight, practical strategies and inspiration for students enrolled in “Teaching as a Profession” courses.
