POST OF THE WEEK:

🏫Buncombe County Schools hosted its inaugural Teacher Cadet Conference March 17 at North Buncombe High School, bringing together students from across BCS and Cherokee Central Schools to collaborate and explore the teaching profession. State Superintendent Mo Green opened the conference with heartfelt words for students exploring teaching as their chosen career.

The event, supported by the Buncombe County Schools Foundation, provided an opportunity for aspiring educators to connect with peers and learn about various teaching specialties.

Students also heard from BCS Superintendent Dr. Rob Jackson, Associate Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Reed, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jamie Johnson, and A.C. Reynolds High School principal Ben Alexander. The four are all "homegrown" leaders from Buncombe County Schools.
